The first attempt of GyrOptics in the field of Fiber Optic Gyroscopes was designing and manufacturing Open Loop FOGs. Although the accuracy of open loop FOGs are not as good as close loop FOGs, but open loop ones have less complicated structure, more reasonable prices and smaller in size and weight.
An open loop structure briefly illustrated in the following diagram. As it can be seen it has few components, which make the product more reliable.
At GyrOptics, the open loop project comes to a mature state and we are ready to develop any possible designs.
